Three years after a tragic loss, we honor victims and fight food insecurity on Buffalo’s East Side with God’s love.
A Mission Born from Tragedy
On May 14, 2022, a white supremacist attacked Tops Friendly Market, Buffalo’s only East Side grocery store, in a racist mass shooting that stole ten lives.
The tragedy revealed a deeper crisis: one in five children and one in eight adults in the Western New York community face hunger.
Through Empowering Everyday Women’s Buffalo Strong campaign, we’re fighting food insecurity with grocery deliveries, food pantries, and food distribution, turning pain into purpose (Romans 8:28).
