About Dianna Hobbs
Founder & CEO, Empowering Everyday Women Ministries
Dianna Hobbs is a globally respected ministry leader, author, and humanitarian whose life is a powerful testimony of God’s grace, healing, and purpose. As the founder of Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, she leads with a passion for serving the underserved, uplifting women, and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with boldness and compassion.
In 2007, from her kitchen table in Buffalo, New York, Dianna launched EEW Magazine Online, a digital ministry created to empower Christian women of color. What began as a small blog has grown into one of America’s leading faith-based platforms for women, reaching millions around the world. Her devotional blog, Your Daily Cup of Inspiration, and its companion podcast have inspired global audiences with biblical encouragement, transparency, and hope.
Dianna’s life has been marked by incredible victories over adversity. After being miraculously healed in 2017 from debilitating autoimmune diseases that left her bedridden, and later surviving a life-threatening post-surgical crisis in 2019 that resulted in a mini-stroke and traumatic brain injury, she has used every challenge as fuel for ministry. Her testimony of divine healing, mental health advocacy, digital content through EEW Magazine, and unwavering faith has led to features in PBS, ABC, NBC, The Washington Post, The Christian Post, and more.
Through her 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Empowering Everyday Women Ministries, Dianna Hobbs extends her mission beyond media to the frontlines of need. The organization boldly provides humanitarian aid and global outreach, serving vulnerable communities with compassion, resources, and the hope of the Gospel. From feeding families to supporting women in crisis, EEW is changing lives—one act of love at a time.
In every role—whether preaching, writing, singing, or mentoring—Dianna’s mission remains the same: to glorify God, uplift the brokenhearted, and empower everyday women to walk boldly in their divine calling.

Personal Journey
Dianna Hobbs’s own life story is woven with miraculous testimony. In 2017, after years of battling two crippling autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia), Hobbs experienced a sudden, complete healing during a prayer service. Doctors had given up hope, yet in a moment of divine intervention she regained her ability to walk, talk and sing. This dramatic recovery reinforced her belief in Isaiah 53:5 – that “by His stripes” she is healed.
Just two years later, Hobbs faced another life-threatening ordeal. Following routine surgery, she suffered a severe allergic reaction that sent her into the ICU. She endured over 24 seizures and a mini-stroke, leaving her temporarily paralyzed on the left side. Doctors warned she might never fully recover. Yet fueled by faith and determination, Hobbs defied all medical odds. Within days she astonishingly walked out of the hospital and began regaining her strength. Today she lives with the lingering effects of a traumatic brain injury, but her outlook is unwavering: she views each trial as part of her testimony, declaring that God has “turned my pain into purpose.”
Advocacy and Impact
Dianna Hobbs leverages her platform to empower and tackle tough issues. She is a frank advocate for mental and emotional health in the Black Christian community. She openly shares both her own experiences (as a brain trauma survivor) and her family’s challenges (including her son’s struggle with bipolar disorder) to break stigma around mental illness.
On her blog she posts candid, faith-filled messages about trauma, healing and hope. By speaking about depression, anxiety and recovery in spiritual terms, Hobbs encourages believers to seek help without shame.
Beyond online outreach, she engages communities in person. An in-demand speaker and Bible teacher, Hobbs travels to conferences, women’s retreats and church events. She exercises the five-fold ministry gifts (apostle, prophet, evangelist, pastor, teacher) outlined in Ephesians 4:11–13, delivering powerful keynote messages and workshops. Her dynamic faith-driven teaching has inspired audiences nationwide. Through mentoring and public ministry, Hobbs continues to impact urban and church communities, guiding others to walk boldly in their purpose.
Her Music
Dianna Hobbs is an award-nominated independent gospel artist whose music flows from a deep well of faith and personal experience. Her soulful sound and heartfelt lyrics reflect her journey through pain, healing, and triumph. Her 2024 single, “Don’t Know Why,” inspired by her own battles with illness and recovery, has become an anthem of resilience and worship. Every song she pens is a testimony, pointing listeners to the hope, strength, and restoration found in Jesus Christ.
Major Milestones
Founded EEW Magazine Online (2007): Hobbs launched the online magazine to uplift Christian women of color. Over the past 15+ years she built EEW into a leading digital media brand. Under her vision the site has logged millions of pageviews and become one of the most recognized digital media brands for Black Christian women.
Strategic Partnerships: She has forged high-profile deals with mainstream and faith-based partners. EEW inked sponsorships and media collaborations with Verizon, McDonald’s, Lionsgate, Warner Bros. Discovery, NBC and more. Her team has also partnered with leading Christian publishers—Zondervan, Thomas Nelson, HarperCollins and others—running successful book campaigns to bring inspirational content into the urban faith market.
Broadcast Media & Syndication: Expanding beyond print, Hobbs launched urban radio programming. She created “Cross Culture in HD”, a radio show on Buffalo’s #1 Gospel station WUFO 1080 AM (simulcast globally online), and later hosted the daily show “Turnt Up With Sunny D” on WUFO. As on-air personality “Sunny D,” she reached urban audiences with gospel music and faith-based news, propelling her show to #1. After nearly four years on air, Hobbs resigned from daily radio duties in 2016 to focus on her exploding ministry and address health concerns.
Author & Recording Artist: An accomplished worship leader and writer, Hobbs leverages music and books to share her message. She has co-written and released several original songs (and is now signed to a Christian label), including the 2024 single “Don’t Know Why,” born from her own healing journey. In 2022 she self-published the indie best-selling memoir God Did It: A True Story of Miraculous Healing, chronicling her recovery from chronic illness and trauma (available on major retailers).
Recognition & Influence: Hobbs has earned national acclaim. Her story and work have been featured by major media outlets — PBS, ABC, NBC, The Washington Post, The Christian Post and others — cementing her reputation as a leading voice in faith-based media and urban Christian culture.
